A business bank account and a personal account used for business purposes are two separate things!

A business bank account requires proof of a registered entity with the state, and an EIN.

A business bank account can only be opened once the business is registered, and therefore cannot be opened before registering your business.

A Nevada court blocked Rupert Murdoch’s attempt to modify his irrevocable trust.

An irrevocable trust is out in place to be non revocable, exactly as the name hints at. Every state law differs on the circumstances that allow for modification of this type of trust, but typically they cannot be changed.

In Nevada, the law allows for modifications to trusts that are performed in good faith. In Murdoch’s case he left his ownership in Fox News to his children. Fox News is known to be a right-winged centered media source.

Murdoch fears that his children will not preserve this right-winged view and sought to amend his trust to provide ownership, and wants to leave ownership solely to one child who is known to be the most conservative. The court blocked this attempt, but his lawyers say they intend to appeal this decision.
