🚨 REAL ID Deadline is Approaching – Are You Ready? 🚨

Starting May 7, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security will require a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card to board domestic flights and enter certain federal facilities. If you haven’t upgraded to a REAL ID yet, now is the time to do so!

🔹 Who Needs a REAL ID?
✔️ Domestic travelers age 18+
✔️ Individuals needing access to federal buildings or military bases

🔹 How to Check If You Have One
Look at your current driver’s license or state-issued ID. If you don’t see a gold or black star in the top right corner, your ID may not be REAL ID-compliant. Some states use a different symbol (such as a bear with a star), so check your state's DMV website to confirm.

🔹 How to Get a REAL ID
You must visit your state’s DMV in person with:
✅ Proof of Identity (e.g., valid passport, birth certificate)
✅ Proof of Social Security Number (e.g., Social Security card, W-2)
✅ Two Proofs of Residency (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)
✅ Proof of Legal Name Change (if applicable)

🔹 Do You Need a REAL ID If You Have a Passport?
As of today, not necessarily...A valid U.S. passport can be used instead of a REAL ID for air travel...But having a REAL ID is a convenient option for domestic flights.
🚨 What Happens If You Don’t Have a REAL ID by May 7, 2025?
Without a REAL ID (or another TSA-accepted ID), you will not be allowed to board domestic flights or enter federal buildings requiring ID.
