The snow made everyone crazy in Galveston County

🟢 Update: I-45N north of FM-1765 is now reopen.

Our officers are currently investigating a shooting that resulted in a multi-vehicle collision.

At 9:59 a.m., our Communications Center started receiving calls about a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles in the 3200 Block of Interstate 45 North-bound.

Upon the arrival of responding officers, it was learned that a female passenger had sustained a gunshot wound to the back.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect in this case was operating a black Cadillac passenger car, last seen northbound of I-45 north.

We currently have I-45 northbound blocked in this section but are estimating another 30 to 45 minutes before the roadway will be reopened.
