The Ammons Law Firm and Luce Law Firm are proud to announce a record-setting $8.4 million tire defect verdict against Hankook Tire in the 170th District Court of McLennan County, Texas.

Our trial team, including Rob Ammons, John Gsanger, April Strahan, Matt McKinnon, and Derrel Luce, presented clear evidence that the tire suffered design and manufacturing defects, including a dangerously thin innerliner and poor component adhesion. Hankook adamantly denied responsibility, claiming repairs by a local tire shop caused the tire to fail.

After six hours of deliberation, the jury rejected Hankook's attempts to escape liability, finding the company 100% responsible for the fatal tire failure, and awarding the widow and surviving parents over $8 million in damages.

This verdict, reportedly the largest product liability verdict in McLennan County history, shows that our community demands accountability when a defective product takes an innocent life.

The Ammons Law Firm and Husain Law + Associates, P.C. are pleased to announce a jury verdict of over $3.5 million in the 127th District Court of Harris County, Texas. The defense trial team offered our client $100,000 pre-trial to settle the case, claiming dashcam footage of the crash conclusively established their driver was not at fault. They further argued that our client was not seriously injured, highlighting a three-and-a-half-year gap in medical treatment to support their position.

After deliberating for nearly eight hours, the jury returned a unanimous verdict for the plaintiff, finding the defendant 100% responsible for the crash and awarding over $3.5 million in damages.
