Our office is closed Tuesday and Wednesday at the suggestion of Harris County as are most of the local county court houses.

: Harris County Criminal Courts at Law will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, and Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, due to inclement weather and the potential for dangerous road conditions.

All cases set for Tuesday and Wednesday will be rescheduled. This includes criminal misdemeanor cases set on the dockets for each of the 16 Harris County Criminal Courts at Law, as well as the docket run by Harris County Criminal Courts at Law Associate Judge David Singer.

To find your new court date, contact your attorney or the court to which your case is assigned, or monitor the Harris County District Clerk’s website: www.hcdistrictclerk.com/edocs/public/search.aspx.

Should anything change, updates will be posted on social media and our website: www.ccl.hctx.net. Please continue to monitor both for the latest information about weather closures.

Want to be notified directly about court closures? Sign up for Harris County Courts emergency closure email and text alerts: bit.ly/HarrisCoCourtClosures.

In the meantime, stay safe and stay warm.

Replacements may be issued when food purchased with SNAP benefits was destroyed in a household disaster. To report that food has been destroyed in a household disaster, the HOH, a responsible household member or AR must go to an HHSC local office to complete a destroyed food replacement benefit request.

A household disaster may:
- impact one or more households; and
- be an event that results in food purchased with SNAP benefits being destroyed, such as: fire, flood, tornado, accident, power outage or other similar event.

A household disaster does not include damage or destruction resulting from events within the household’s control, such as:
- pets or children;
- utility disconnection; or
- deferred household maintenance.

Good morning from Georgetown the county seat of Williamson County. This courthouse was completed in 1911 and is in the classical Greek style with ionic columns, sculpted pediments, large dome with lady justice perched on top, and a four way facing clock that rings out the hour every hour.
