Sunland Park Tap Water is Yellow AGAIN!!
Residents Share Disturbing Photos & Videos of Yellow Water in Homes and Businesses
During the past week, some residents in Sunland Park, NM, – customers of the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) – have been seeing yellow water again in their toilets and bathtubs in their homes, and yellow water coming out of taps at the Sunland Park Senior Citizen Center and from the soda fountain at the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino.
Residents will be attending the next Sunland Park City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 9am, seeking answers to their ongoing questions about why CRRUA continues to provide discolored, unsafe drinking water!!

Published in 2023 and authored by Jay Owens, the book combines history and science into a sweeping look at the smallest substance and the biggest challenges facing people and the planet.
The author interviewed NMELC Executive Director Virginia Necochea and Legal Director Eric Jantz while researching the book, and they are quoted as well.

Since no one is taking any action, unfortunately, it's been left to the communities of Sunland Park and Santa Teresa to fight for clean and safe water.

Governor Lujan-Grisham's statements raised more questions than answers. We demand clear and immediate action to fix the ongoing water issues in Southern New Mexico.
She has committed to holding a public meeting in Sunland Park to discuss clean water solutions. The community will be there to ensure their voices are heard and to hold the State accountable.
Governor Lujan-Grisham is committing to transparency and action. We're here to make sure it happens. It's time for real solutions, not empty promises.
