2025 starting great for my client!
This person recieved a letter stating his offer in compromise settlement was revoked for failure to file his 2022 tax return. The problem was the IRS OIC monitoring unit never sent him a notice stating the return was never filed and did not give him an opportunity to file the return.
He contacted me right away. I successfully was able to get is Offer in Compromise REINSTATED! Therefore, he does not have to pay back $100,000 in taxes! IRS has a legal obligation to notify you before an offer is revoked.
Client was so happy! He said Christmas arrived early for him.
